Verandah Resort Antigua was Opened in June 2007, and it is a wonderful hotel in beautiful surroundings, on the secluded north-east coast.

Verandah Resort is on 30 unspoilt waterfront acres of land, and overlooking a powder soft sand beach with a crystal clear bay protected by coral reefs,and also adjacent to a National park.

The Verandah offers a great place for swimming and is just 30 minutes drive from both the airport and St. John's, the capital.

This is an all suite hotel resort and everyone has its own large furnished veranda. The suites are all in single-storey villas (2 suites to each villa) scattered throughout the resort.

Natural materials have been used in the villas' classic Caribbean design, with gabled roofs and timber-clad frames.

Accommodation

160 suites - 2 suites per villa building. All with spacious, furnished terrace, living area with pull-out sleeper sofa and privacy curtain. air conditioning, satellite TV, Internet access*, tea/coffee maker. kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, safe, iron and board, and bedroom with king-size bed.

Bay View Suites sleep 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years (interconnecting terrace doors mean up to 8 persons can share a 2-Suite Villa).

Oceanfront Suites - include all the above and are directly overlooking the bay with unrestricted views

Facilities

A freeform swimming pool forms an attractive focal point at the heart of the Verandah Resort, whilst activities include non-motorised watersports, scuba diving, tennis, fitness centre, and for children, a fully supervised kids’s club with play area and pool.

For relaxation and pampering the full service spa will not disappoint and there's a mini-cinema, internet cafe and golf-cart shuttle service from rooms to central facilities if required (no vehicles are permitted within the resort). The informal bistro serves Caribbean and international menus, the marine themed restaurant features fresh seafood and kids have their own restaurant. There are cocktail bars and regular live evening entertainment.

Learn Hobie Cat sailing, enjoy beach volleyball, explore the nature trails of the national park, admire the limestone formations of Devil's Bridge and take a boat trip* to uninhabited islets such as Bird Island. In the seafood restaurant, enjoy mahi mahi and lobster, fresh from the Caribbean Sea, and sip tropical cocktails as the sun goes down.

Dining

3 restaurants including main open-air restaurant, serving buffet and à la carte. Bistro serving Caribbean and international favourites for dinner. Barbecues, buffets and à la carte all available. Beach bar and grill and a children's restaurant. Private dining on tour terrace can be arranged*. 5 cocktail bars.

All Inclusive includes

• All meals, premium brand drinks and house wine by the glass.

• Sports including windsurfing, sunfish sailing, snorkelling, kayaking, hobie cats and tennis.

Scuba diving is available at an additional charge.
