The Bahia Principe San Juan is set on a 5 km private beach which is sheltered by a coral reef. It covers an area of over one and a half million square metres and is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation with mangrove swamps. The Bahia Principe is an ideal choice for guests of all ages that are looking for relaxed atmosphere and a taste of the Caribbean. This spacious, tastefully decorated hotel is set with in its own tropical paradise. The Beautiful gardens feature little lanes where guests can walk while enjoying the sea breeze and the freshness of the natural surroundings. There are two lake-type swimming pools with a children`s section and one of which has a Jacuzzi.
LOCATION The Bahia Principe San Juan is located on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, 70 km from Puerto Plata airport (60 minutes by car) and a comfortable distance from cities such as Cabarete, Sosua and Puerto Plata. This property is ideal for the keen golfer as the Playa Grande Golf course is 10 km from the resort. ACCOMMODATION The Bahia Principe San Juan has 941 rooms, 136 of which belong to the Club Hacienda Principe. All rooms are fully-equipped standard doubles, distributed among villas which are between 20 and 150 metres from the beach. The large rooms have 2 single beds or one double and include: air conditioning, fully fitted bathrooms, hair-drier, cable TV, telephone with direct outside line, minibar, safe, balcony or terrace FACILITIES Sun-beds, sunshades & towels are available at the pools & beach. DINING & BAR FACILITIES The All Inclusive system gives 24-hour coverage of all meals, snacks, local drinks and cocktails in all the restaurants and bars on the hotel site. There are a total of 6 resturants to choose from including the Main Restaurant La Brisa, the A la Carte Dinner served by order from menu of the Italian restaurant El Chiringuito. Lunch and Snacks are served at the Gourmet Restaurant La Orquidea and at the Mexican Restaurant Rincon Mexicano. Buffet Beach Restaurant Casita Blanca serves American food 24 hours (except for breakfast). There are 10 bars at the hotel to choose from, serving various locally produced alcoholic drinks including local beer and wine, soft drinks, cocktails, juices and water. The All Inclusive programme consists of, Breakfast (07:00-10:00), lunch (13:00-15:30) and dinner (19:00-22:00) served buffet style in the main restaurant. Snacks such as hot dogs and hamburgers are available between 10:00 & 19:30 at the La Casita Blanca or at the Pueblo Principe until 23:00. There are 10 bars at the hotel to choose from, serving a variety of locally produced alcoholic drinks like beer, wine, soft drinks, cocktails, juices and water 24hrs (alcoholic drinks till 23:00). All locally produced drinks are also available at Pueblo Principe hotel in the bars. Mini bar in the guest rooms is available refilled daily with soft drinks, water and Beer.
