The Maca Bana Villas are on a hillside in amidst the tropical trees of a hidden garden. Hardwood decks from the forests of Guyana are finished with twisted local Cedar balustrades and bamboo screens sheltering hammocks from the sea breeze. Set into these decks are private massaging hot tubs overlooking the ocean. This is Maca Bana - a tropical paradise and perfect for a holiday on the island of Grenada.

‘Maca’ is the Arawak word for tree and ‘bana’ means place of dwelling. 'Maca Bana' is lazy luxury and soulful relaxation.

The breathtaking view from the Maca Bana Villas infinity pool takes in the length of white sand Aquarium beach with St. Georges and the mountains beyond.

From the villa’s decks the Aquarium Restaurant and bar on the beach is only a minutes’ walk away.
 
Maca Bana offers more than sun and sand and relaxation. The Maca Bana Villas provide other activities including private art and cookery lessons as well as in your villa catering and spa treatments. Also, right on the beach you can go kayaking and snorkeling.

Maca Bana Villas are located in the southern part of the island and only 10 minutes from the capital of Grenada, St George

Accommodation

There are only 2 x one bedroom villas and 5 x deluxe one and two bedroom villasset in two acres of delightful tropical gardens. All villas are individually decorated, very spacious and offer privacy and comfort. There is also a four poster bed in the master bedroom aprivate sundeck with massaging hot tub and stunning sea views. All Maca Bana villas have a fully fitted kitchen, cable TV and a dining area.

Cooking lessons at Maca Bana Villas

Maca Bana’s beautiful and practical dream kitchens cry out to be cooked in! With all Miele appliances and European tiled counter-tops they are the stage set for a great performance.

The chefs of the renowned Aquarium Restaurant would like to impart their knowledge to you. They offer one on one lessons in the privacy of your own villa and will teach you to cook a mean filet steak, the perfect fresh dorado or a lightly, but authentically seasoned Callaloo soup (a local specialty!).

Cookery lessons at Maca Bana Villas cost USD 65.00 per hour with an additional charge of market value for meats, fish or lobster ingredients.

Art lessons at Maca Bana

The resort offers a range of field and studio based art lessons with the incredible landscapes acting as inspiration.

Special information

Due to a cliff setting and spiral staircases the Maca Bana Villas are not suitable for guests with walking difficulties ans some villas may be unsuitable for young children.
